SHORT-TERM OBJECTIVES:
Sermon Reinforcement -
Brief sketches designed to introduce the message, focus attention on the topic, or help the congregation identify with the questions/issues that will be addressed in the
sermon
Christian Education - Serve as a
resource for Sunday School, VBS, Youth Group and miscellaneous other branches of
Christian Education, providing dramatic sketches to reinforce teaching
Men's & Women's Ministries - Communicate spiritual truths through
drama that meshes well with the spiritual teaching being brought
Evening Services - 45 minutes containing sketches/dramatic readings designed to stir the heart and convict the soul by expressing biblical teaching through drama
Street Drama (Evangelism) - Drama used for the purpose of powerfully and effectively communicating the gospel to the lost in our community outside the church. Evangelism Team will have support counselors there prepared to share the gospel one-on-one as the need arises (in addition to members of the drama team being prepared to share their faith)

LONG-TERM OBJECTIVES:
Full-length drama/musical - One hour long presentation with an
evangelistic thrust. This would involve costuming, set design, lengthy
memorization (script AND song), lighting, sound and special effects. This would
take 4-5 months of solid preparation and would involve as many people in our
fellowship as possible, but is a wonderful vehicle for sharing Christ with our
community and also for creating an environment in which the body is drawn closer
together through experiencing the benefits of working toward a common goal -
saving souls for Jesus.
Coffeehouse Nights - Perhaps once every two months, an evening combining music and drama, and a message geared at teens/young adults. An excellent opportunity for adults in our fellowship to serve the youth and get better acquainted with them, while working together to make an impact on our community for Christ.

Drama ministry is open to all who wish to participate. The core team meets regularly on Friday evenings at the church (7pm). Anyone is free to stop in and join us!
Our meetings include a team devotional, dramatic exercises designed to enhance our abilities, developing future sketches, discussion of new opportunities to minister, and conclude with a time of concentrated prayer for one another.
